- Given similar increase of 1.36 percent in food availability per capita, 4.65 percent in food CPI, 1.54 percent in ratio of agricultural employment to total, and 25.73 percent in proportion of budget for poverty programs, the food utilization index will increase by 0.94 percent in 2016. It will be 32.57 percentage points higher than the 1990 level.
- Assuming food availability per capita / domestic production increased to 6.56 percent in 2014 (all other things constant) because of favourable weather condition and all government interventions are implemented on time , the Food Utilization Index will increase by 6.25 percent from 2013 level. It is expected to be 36.80 percentage points higher than the 1990 record.
- Assuming that the country will experience similar dry spell as in the 1998 El Nino, food availability per capita / domestic production will decrease by 23.89 percent in 2014 (all other things constant).
